Mission
We felt strongly led by God to form a co-op that assists SYV parents in providing a strong foundation in both academics and character from a Christian perspective, growing the values, knowledge and skills essential to impact the world as Christ leads. Our desire is to dispense/bestow a safe, fun environment that provides structure and guidance as well as appropriate and much needed social interaction for the enrichment each soul needs. Each activity is designed to provide a means of exploring and growing the talents God has given each individual and bring joy to the hearts of our children.
Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on the premise that each individual’s unique and ultimate purpose is to bring glory and honor to God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 10:31).
EDIFY’s purpose is to serve as an extension of the family, to uplift them as they educate their own children for the glory of God (Psalm 78:5-6). EDIFY exists to create community and to help students reach their full potential by helping parents guide them spiritually, morally, personally, socially, and academically (Luke 2:52). The co-op recognizes that only when people turn to Christ as Lord and Savior can they realize their own unique potential (Romans 10:10-18). Volunteers must be born-again, professing Christians who understand and live Grace and are committed to loving and living for Jesus Christ, understanding that their lives serve as an example to those whom they serve.
